Who am I?

I am a previous human service professional who made the full leap to therapist nearly 10 years ago. I’m currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have experience with adolescents and adults with postpartum depression/anxiety, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, OCD, LGBTQ+ and general stress related to life changes, burnout and struggling with self worth and identity. I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, as well as a perinatal mental health certification.

Who are you?

You are a person who wants to take the first step to experiencing the rest of your life. You may want a thorough mental health examination to determine if you have ADHD or OCD. You may want to reduce your general symptoms of inattention, nervousness, low mood or hypervigilance. You may want to improve your coping skills, verbally process your emotions, or identify how to improve your thought processes or relationship patterns. You have skills an strengths, but you don’t yet realize how to identify them to improve your life.

What do I offer?

Therapy! A therapist who offers therapy, pretty unique right? I offer individual therapy to adolescent and adults for most mental health concerns. I offer cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy and Somatic therapy. I also offer supportive therapy. I offer sessions both virtually through a HIPAA compliant platform or in person at my Moon Township office.

I also offer a clinical evaluation for ADHD, OCD, and Gender affirming surgery. Evaluations include a general mental health evaluation and a lengthy assessment for either ADHD or OCD. Gender affirming surgery includes a mental health examination and a letter of recommendation for the doctor and/or insurance company performing your surgery. Evaluations occur over hours, if not several sessions. Evaluations are typically not covered by your insurance company. Rates and consultation available upon request.

I accept UPMC, Highmark, Aetna, United/Optum, Cigna, and Medicaid/CCBHO of Allegheny County. I also offer private pay options.

Hannah Carey, MA, NCC, LAPC

Licensed Associate Therapist

I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) with a B.S. in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. in counseling from Waynesburg University. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and families. I specialize in person-centered counseling and enjoy working with transitional aged clients (adolescents and early adulthood) and focus on working through the challenges that change can throw at us. I also have experience working with mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, anxiety and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to best meet client’s needs, acknowledging that everyone is different, and I work to meet clients where they are.

I see counseling as a process in which a counselor helps the client achieve their desired mental health status by promoting their well-being and growth through the client’s strengths and experiences. I encourage clients to be an active participant in their treatment and speak openly about their goals. I believe that each person can make a true change in their life if they desire it, sometimes we just need some help along the way.

I am available for in person and telehealth services. I currently accept Highmark, UPMC, Cigna, Aetna, United/Optum and self-pay.

Rachel Kelley-Post, MA, NCC, LAPC (she/her)

Licensed Associate Therapist
Fully Trained in EMDR

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with three years of experience working with adults in the mental health field. I specialize in working with clients dealing with trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

My background is primarily in substance abuse, and while working in inpatient and outpatient settings, I saw a lot of overlap with trauma, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. I found that trauma is often at the root of suffering for many people.

I completed training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) because as a client I have benefited so much from this transformative modality. Not only is EMDR effective for trauma, but it has as also proven to be effective for almost any dysfunction.

I became a counselor as the result of my own healing journey, and I seek to help others in the way I was helped. My goal is to provide deep understanding to the clients I’m fortunate to work with. There is nothing like being truly seen by another human and accepted as you are. Together we can develop greater understanding of the way you think, feel, and act; develop acceptance and compassion; and make sustainable changes as needed.

Above all, I use a person-centered approach, which means I focus on empathy and unconditional positive regard toward everyone I work with. I also lean on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, and motivational interviewing. I am also passionate about mindfulness, which means being present in the moment without judgment.

I have a BA from the University of Missouri and an MA from the University of Northern Colorado.

I am available for telehealth services. I currently accept Cigna, Aetna, and self-pay/sliding scale. I will soon be able to accept Highmark, UPMC and United/Optum.
